หลังจากที่เรานำท่านมาเรียนรู้พัฒนาการเครื่องหมายทางเรือที่ผ่านมาจากในอดีตถึงปัจจุบันนั้น ในตอนที่ 2 นี้ เราจะนำท่านมาพบกับหลักการทัวไปของระบบทุนเครื่องหมายทางเรือที่ใช้งานกันนะครับ ตอนที่ 2 หลักการทั่วไปของระบบ ระบบ MB Sประกอบไปด้วยเครื่องหมาย 6 ชนิด จะใช้ติดตั้งแบบเดี่ยวหรือใช้ร่วมกันก็ได้ ซึ่งชาวเรือสามารถแยกแยะความแตกต่างของเครื่องหมายทางเรือเหล่านี้ได้ด้วยคุณลักษณะเฉพาะ โดยเครื่องหมายทางข้างจะมีความแตกต่างกันระหว่างภูมิภาคA และ B ตามที่จะอธิบายต่อไป ในขณะที่เหลืออีก 5 ชนิด จะเหมือนกันทั้ง 2 ภูมิภาค

"ระบบทุ่นเครื่องหมายทางเรือ (MBS) และเครื่องหมายทางเรืออื่น ๆ" ก่อนปี 1976 ทั่วโลกมีการใช้งานระบบทุ่นเครื่องหมายทางเรือที่แตกต่างกันมากกว่า 30 ระบบ ซึ่งส่วนมากมีกฎเกณฑ์ การใช้งานที่ขัดแย้งกัน การขัดแย้งกันเกี่ยวกับใช้ทุ่นไฟนี้ มีมายาวนานตั้งแต่เริ่มต้นจนถึงปลายศตวรรษที่ 19 เช่น บางประเทศใช้ไฟสีแดงกำกับทางด้านกราบซ้ายของร่องน้ำ ในขณะที่อีกประเทศหนึ่งใช้กำกับทางด้านกราบขวาของร่องน้ำ "มาดูว่าพัฒนาการระบบทุ่นเครื่องหมายทางเรือมีประวัติอย่างไร คลิก More>>"
